Lately I have been sharing the places I have been visiting for the first time. In this blog I want to share a series of photos I took almost 5 years ago, of The Milky Way! Back in December last year (2023) I shared just a few of these photos with you in my Blog call “The Stars”. I will add a link at the end if you wish to check it out again, or for the first time. But this time I want to share a YouTube clip I made back then as well.
Many people ask me if this is how The Milky Way really looks. Well the answer to that is a flat “No!”. A lot of work goes into adjusting the colours, brightness, and contrasts in what is called post processing.

These colours are there, but the human eye just cannot see them. Being my first time some of these photos look different from each other. Some look a bit warmer (Orange-ish), while others look much cooler (Blue-ish) in their colours. This shows my newness back then to editing The Milky Way.

This YouTube clip finishes up with a time lapse video clip I programmed my camera to take. These I could not edit, so it gives you a closer idea of what The Milky way does look like with the naked eye. I wish I could have let this time lapse run a little longer but a storm came in and covered the stars. Also I needed to rescue my camera.

I hope you enjoy this series of photos in my YouTube Clip.
And Remember my motto! WANDER EXPLORE DISCOVER!
and here’s the link I promised to my earlier blog title The Stars.
