I went up to Waterfall Gully today. I was experimenting with different timings on the waterfalls. But none really turned out. It was the wrong time of day as well and the sun was hitting the lens in the wrong spot causing it to flare. So I will need to go up there again later in the day. But I was not left unrewarded because as I was walking back my friend Bek noticed these very cool steps. I was looking in the other direction. So I took some photos of them and started some post editing on one of them. Here is the original.

As you can see the steps are very darkened and the hillside is very exposed. So I set about balancing the 2 of these out and came up with a more balanced photo. But something was still not looking right. I was thinking there was too much empty space on the right hand side where the hill is.

So I decided to change the dimensions of the photo from 6×4 to 1×1. I saved that photo ready to post it here on my blog.

But as I sit here looking at the 6×4 and 1×1, I am starting to think the 6×4 does look better. But then I look at the 1×1 and I think that looks better. I can’t make up my mind.

So help me out if you can. I have put together a poll for you to choose. Let me know what one you think looks better.
